Activity

  This group has 14 members and meets monthly. Some are widely read, others wish to extend their knowledge, while a certain number have been unable to read adequately during their working lives and wish to start in earnest now.
Two very different types of books are available each month and are provided free by Ash Library under the guidance of our Co-ordinator, Christine Beer. The choice of books comes from the members and nobody is obliged to persevere with a book they dislike or fail to understand.
Lively discussions on the books take place at each meeting. Everyone's opinion is respected no matter how diametrically opposed it is to that of others', which leads to a deeper understanding of the author's intention and also that of how each one of the readers forms their own opinion.
