	Which way to Lacock?
	Future special events Four day outing to Dovedale in June 2012 Following on from a meeting at Moorland house, Dartmoor during the stay in June 2011, where a few possible sites were mentioned, John has decided that a good venue for next year's outing would be to Dovedale in the Derbyshire Dales between Wednesday 20th June and Saturday 23rd 2012. We need new leaders now!   If every member led just one 5 mile walk, each of us would only need to lead 1 walk every 2 years -  if you lead walks as pairs, this is only 1 walk a year!

The development of the next programme is always work in progress.
Contact Ray and he can give you a date which requires a leader, or you can enquire of him whether your preferred date is still free. Then you can do your research before giving him details of your chosen venue and directions.

If you are wary of undertaking a first event on your own, please ask a friend to share in the project to boost your confidence.Also feel free to ask any regular walk leader for advice and assistance - all leaders had to start sometime! We appreciate that tackling your first event can seem daunting on your own, particularly surveying and checking the route, so you are advised to ask someone to accompany you for this part of the exercise.
