The science and technology group began in September 2010 and we now have 12 members. We would love to welcome a few more and if you are not sure, please feel free to visit us for a taster first. Please phone me before you come for the first time, just in case our plans have changed or it snows! We are exploring all areas of science and technology through a mix of talks by members, DVDs and visits.

Jan. 6th Presentation by Ron on Communications
Feb. 3rd John Childs will tell us a little about Chatham Dockyard and then give a presentation about "The Role of an Engineer Surveyor in Industry".
Mar. 2nd Peter Francis (U3A member) has offered a double presentation about entomology. The two talks are called “Parts of an Insect and The Life cycles” and “Bolstering the Blue Winged Olive.”

Jun. 1st Rod Dengate (U3A member) has offered a presentation called “Concrete and Clay” which is about building materials
