Activity

We are currently studying the period 1850-1914.
Within that time frame, each person is preparing a short talk about a subject of their choice to present to the other members and will then lead the discussion on that topic.
As we now have fourteen members, each person will only need to speak less than once a year. If anyone does not want to prepare a talk, they are more than welcome to come and join in the discussion without doing so.
If you are interested in how life was for real people in the past, come along to a meeting. New members are always welcome.
The topics of meetings for this year (2008) will be; -

May 15th Farming
June 17th  Canal life
July 10th Trade Unions
(No meeting in August)
September 11th Education
October 9th Mining
November 13th Nursing
December 11th Nineteenth Century Christmas (all to contribute)
